I recently did taming in Febuary 2020 and I want to share what worked for me.
I did 50-70 in a day and 5.0 gain every day after. It casually took me 1 week to hit 100 taming.
*This guide is still a work in progress that I plan to complete. Version: 0.4

== Character Creation ==
WIP
== Misc Info ==
peace/music - While not required these are a great safety net when things go wrong
vet & bands - Vet is used to heal the scarab. Bands are the only real gold cost.
scarab pet - Once you hit 70 taming, get a scarab and bond it. You'll be using it for the rest of training.
Camping - Offers a way to travel around the world when you don't have good magery
Magery - I would carry about 10 Gheal regs just incase a mob hit me.
== Important Commands ==
In order to use a pet as a tank for taming other mobs you'll want to use 2 or 3 commands.
All Follow Me - This is your bread and butter. This puts your tank pet in a neutral state so it's not killing your tame.
All Guard Me - This gets the mobs on your pet if they agro you first
All Kill - This gets the mobs on your pet if you agro them first.
Remember to move away from the mobs until they're safely on your scarab aka tank pet
== Passive Gains ==
Passive gains are taming skill points that can be gained when you normally gain a taming point.
They're stored on your character up to 2.5 and can be check using animal lore on your pet at the bottom.
When you kill mobs with your pet there is a chance to gain taming skill from these stored passive gains.
The chance you have to gain a taming skill point 0.1 is based on the mobs difficulty.
You can check a mobs difficulty by using animal lore on them.
I recommend you kill mobs with a difficulty of 15.0 or higher, the higher the better the chance you get a taming point.
For this reason you want to train taming in batches of 2.5 after which you kill mobs till you use up your 2.5 stored points. rinse and repeat.
For 50-70 taming, Don't bother with passive gains.
== Guide Core ===
50 -> 60.0 Colossal Frog (New Player Dungeon)
You'll find these in the New Player Dungeon. The only real threat is other players dragging mobs into the room or standing on a corpser.
60 -> 70.0 Cave Bear (New Player Dungeon)
There are two nicely positioned Cave Bears in the New Player Dungeon. They are located in the far north section on level 1.
Beware the ettins, trolls and ogres that wander this area.
70 -> 72.5 Scarab (South of Ossuary)
There are two Scarabs that spawn in the desert south of ossuary entrance.
Beware the undead and crawler.
75 -> 77.5 Aegis Slime (Aegis Keep lvl 1)
Three Slimes on level 1, one is in the hallway and the other two are in the pit.
Beware the giant rats and goblins.
80 -> 82.5 Searing Imp (Inferno lvl 1)
Two imps spawn near the first bridge one north and one south.
Beware the fire lizard and possible PKs
85 -> 87.5 Blood Ape (Aegis Keep lvl 1)
There are several blood ape spawns here, the trick is to lure 1 at a time around the corner to the entrance of level 2 aegis.
Beware imps and possible PKs
90 -> 92.5 Husk Crab (Beach South East Prevalia)
Two crabs spawn near this area south east of prevalia on the beach.
Beware the crawler and pirates
95 -> 97.5 Molten Mongbat (Inferno lvl 2)
Two imps are easily accessed here but also come with molten hellions
my trick here is to beat the hellions to low HP so they run away, but don't kill them. They'll continue trying to run away.
Beware PKs!!
100 -> 102.5 Snowdrift (cavernam lvl 1)
Two snowdrifts spawn here one south and on north. They come with an elemental
same trick as molten helons, beat them to low life so they keep fleeing from you.
You're near an exit gate so just hop out if you spot a red.
todo:
-add rest of the skill tier sections & make images for each
-add using 1 tamed mob + scarab to kill the next tamed, cycling through new tames to reduce bandage use.
-add better introduction
-add character creation
-Redo Better Images
-mention camping as an alternative form of travel
